ASC Gyro Series MEMS Gyroscope

ASC's precision navigation and pointing gyroscope consists of robust silicon MEMS vibrating ring elements. When the gyroscope rotates, the Coriolis force acting on the silicon ring induces radial motion at the edge of the ring, with a magnitude proportional to the rotational angular velocity. Accordingly, the gyroscope generates an analog voltage signal that is linearly proportional to the angular velocity. The balanced ring design makes it less susceptible to the effects of shock and vibration. ASC's industrial-grade MEMS gyros feature excellent bias instability, very low noise density, angle random walk, and sensitivity to linear acceleration.
