The crawler transporter, built in 1965, has been transporting rockets and spacecraft to the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center for over 40 years. However, modifications were necessary to transport combinations of rockets and launch towers that are heavier than the rockets for which the crawler was designed, and considerable force was required to remove and install new bearings to attach the redesigned traction roller assembly to the crawler track. We would like to introduce a case study of the EVO synchronous lifting system and the CLRG series cylinders. The construction of the 4.5 km Waterview Connection highway includes the deployment of a ground pressure balance machine to excavate a 2.5 km underground twin tunnel. To initiate the tunnel excavation process, it was necessary to position a 3,600-ton tunnel boring machine at the starting point. Ten 600-ton cylinders equipped with internal stroke sensors controlled by the EVO synchronous lift system descend to tilt the tunnel boring machine into the starting position. Once the positioning is complete, tunnel excavation begins. After a devastating earthquake, 2,800 tons of buildings in the city center fell from their foundations, requiring a lift of up to 300mm to level them.
