FOCUS / Vacuum Laser Welding Machine
Laser processing in a vacuum?
LaVa is an abbreviation for Laser Welding in Vacuum, and it is equipment used for laser processing in a vacuum. By performing laser processing in a vacuum, it achieves deeper penetration and dramatically less spatter compared to processing in the atmosphere. Additionally, at a wide pressure range of 0.1 to 100 mbar, it can maintain a stable keyhole while allowing for welding with penetration up to about twice the maximum depth achievable with conventional laser power alone. It is capable of processing copper, titanium, and other metals at the level of electron beam welding, without being affected by magnetic or insulating materials.
