Semi-dry processing: Successful case studies of reduced cleaning, cost reduction, and improved work efficiency.

There were issues with oil stains around the air blow process after machining and around the machining equipment. After implementation, there was a 15% increase in work efficiency due to the no-cleaning effect! 【*Trial demo available】

We would like to introduce a successful case of the semi-dry processing mist device "HPM Technology" implemented at Takahashi Metal Co., Ltd. The company was using water-soluble coolant for mold manufacturing and machining after casting, but they wanted to eliminate the air blow process for the workpieces after machining and the oil stains around the machining equipment. Therefore, after conducting a demonstration using our product, the finish of the machined surface was good, and the tool life, which had been a concern, was hardly affected. The time for the air blow process after machining was significantly reduced, and the cleanliness around the machining equipment improved. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenge: Eliminate the air blow process for workpieces after machining and oil stains around the machining equipment ■ Machining Target: Aluminum die casting ■ Results - Significant reduction in air blow process time after machining - Improvement in cleanliness around the machining equipment - Chips were compressed, allowing for the reuse of briquettes *For detailed specifications, please download the PDF or feel free to consult us if you wish to arrange a demonstration.

[Video Material] How to Determine Quotation Prices 5: Setup Time 1 Hour or 30 Minutes

I will answer the question, 'How should I calculate the estimated price?'

When estimating new products in the manufacturing industry, I believe calculations are based on the "rate" (which can be referred to in various ways such as "processing rate" or "charge," but here we will call it "rate") specific to each company. For newcomers who have just joined the company, there may be many who say, "In our company, the rate is set at ●● yen/minute, and we calculate estimates based on that, but I don't really understand how that number is determined." To set the rate, one must know the manufacturing costs. Manufacturing costs vary depending on processing methods, the machines used, setup time, and processing time. In this video, I would like to examine how manufacturing costs change when setup time is reduced during production using machining centers and NC lathes, using specific numbers as examples.

[Video Material] How to Determine Quotation Prices 7: Rework and Unintentional Full Inspection

I will answer the question, 'How should I calculate the estimated price?'

When estimating new products in the manufacturing industry, I believe calculations are based on the "rate" (which may be referred to in various ways such as "processing rate" or "charge," but here we will call it "rate") specific to each company. To establish the rate, one must know the manufacturing costs. Manufacturing costs vary depending on the processing methods, the machines used, setup time, processing time, and so on. In this document, I would like to examine, using specific numbers, how making adjustments in machining processes and conducting full inspections without realizing it impact manufacturing costs, using the metal processing industry as an example.
