Is the raw water from the water supply contaminated with chlorine-resistant pathogenic microorganisms?
Would you like to test whether the raw water supply is contaminated with chlorine-resistant pathogenic microorganisms?
Water supply operators, water supply service providers, and installers of dedicated water systems are required by the Water Supply Act to formulate a "Water Quality Inspection Plan" that outlines an annual inspection plan for proper management of water quality. Since April 1, 2007, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has notified that inspections for Cryptosporidium and other contaminants should be incorporated into the water quality inspection plan. There are two types of methods to investigate the presence of contamination by Cryptosporidium and others. One is the testing for Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and the other is a simpler method using indicator bacteria, which includes tests for E. coli and anaerobic spore-forming bacteria. Our company has conducted inspections for Cryptosporidium and Giardia with a record of 101 samples per year (for the fiscal year 2023). Additionally, we have also conducted indicator bacteria tests, with 40 samples for E. coli and 41 samples for anaerobic spore-forming bacteria (for the same fiscal year).
