Its characteristics include excellent heat resistance with a continuous use temperature of 260°C, and a tensile strength of over 90 MPa, which is among the highest mechanical strengths in resins. Additionally, being a resin, it is naturally lightweight and has excellent chemical resistance, showing no discoloration or dissolution except with certain strong acids like concentrated sulfuric acid. The drawback is that the material has a high unit price, but it offers properties that can rival those of metals.
