It is said that 70% of the product unit price is determined by design, and a slight change in shape can lead to cost reductions. For example, a "shape with a flat bottom for a small-diameter deep hole" can be made cheaper by adding an angle to the bottom so that it can be processed with a drill, and a "shape that requires a lot of cutting with an expensive material" can be made cheaper by splitting it into two parts. Additionally, a "shape with a chamfer on a curved profile that has about C1" can be made cheaper by using manual processing for the edge chamfer. There are many other methods that we cannot disclose. Would you consider an AR (anti-reflective) coating with a dip coat?

When it comes to AR (anti-reflective) coatings, they are widely recognized for being applied through dry processes, but it is also possible to achieve a reflectance of less than 1% (on one side) with a single-layer coating using the wet process dip coating method. By varying the withdrawal speed during dip coating, we have successfully controlled the film thickness in increments of 5 nm, achieving thicknesses between 100 and 160 nm, as demonstrated by our film thickness analysis data. The ability to control film thickness through variable withdrawal speed allows us to tailor the bottom wavelength to the desired wavelength, making it possible to achieve film deposition for specific purposes and applications, such as the bottom wavelength range of 550 nm to 650 nm required for optical lenses, or around 1500 nm needed for sensors in autonomous driving (LiDAR).

We would like to introduce a case study of the development of a "circuit board holder" at a major corporation. We received a request from a customer to manufacture a component that guides and holds circuit board units, as well as to improve noise generated from the electrical properties of a metal frame. In response, we considered the resinification of the metal frame and proposed three structural design patterns: "integrated type," "PP hinge type," and "split type." We communicated the advantages and disadvantages of each option to present choices to the customer.
