We have been using a stirrer for drug formulation, and until now, we managed the mixing process by timing it with the stirrer's button. Although we adjust the stirring time based on seasonal conditions, managing it by time means that any malfunction could lead to insufficient mixing and result in product defects. There have been requests such as "I want to monitor whether the stirrer is definitely running" and "I want to manage the stirrer's rotation speed and shorten the changeover time." We installed the magnetic proximity switch "DW-100" manufactured by Makome Research Institute on the stirrer, placing the "DW-100" next to the stirrer shaft, and affixing the magnetic bodies "SMG-100N" and "SMG-100S" around the shaft.
