Peyton's planar transformers can mix a winding type on the primary side with a planar type on the secondary side. By converting the winding type transformer, which has been difficult to downsize, into a planar type (laminated type), we achieve a compact, thin, and lightweight transformer. This significantly reduces the radiation noise and leakage inductance that are disadvantages of winding types, and the laminated design also offers advantages against skin effect and proximity effect. Additionally, unlike winding types, our molded products have less variation, which helps reduce the unseen costs for customers who wind coils. It is also possible to include total loss specifications in the documentation.
