Remove sand burrs for finishing castings.
Perfectly remove sand and burrs from castings using blast treatment.
Castings made by melting metal and pouring it into molds tend to have burrs and residues from the mold material, which are removed through blasting treatment. Blasting uses abrasive materials to grind the surface and create texture, enhancing the adhesion of paint. Castings can be produced in large quantities and come in two types: die-cast and sand-cast. Die-casting is excellent in wear resistance but is costly and suitable for mass production, while sand-casting is inexpensive and can accommodate complex shapes. Harada Ironworks manufactures its own blasting equipment with dimensions of 6m in width, 10m in depth, and 3m in height. Additionally, blasting treatment is utilized not only for surface cleaning but also for modification and shape processing. For example, by performing blasting treatment on metal products, the surface strength can be improved, making it easier to apply resin or paint. Furthermore, applying blasting treatment to hard materials such as glass and stone can express beautiful textures and designs. Our blasting equipment is large-scale and manufactured in-house to accommodate a wide range of applications, allowing us to respond flexibly to customer needs.
