ProSim Plus

General-purpose steady-state process simulation and optimization software

ProSim Plus is a product of the French company Fives ProSim and is a general-purpose steady-state process simulator that includes optimization features. In addition to a rigorous thermodynamic model (also sold as a separate product called Simulis Thermodynamics), it is equipped with precise models of chemical engineering unit operations such as heat exchangers, reactors, distillation columns, absorption columns, and extraction columns, allowing for the modeling and simulation of large manufacturing processes, including complex recycling. Designed with the concept of Open Software, it enables users to add custom unit models and modify or extend standard models using Visual Basic. It complies with Cape-Open standards and allows for the integration of models from compatible external software for simulation.

ProSim Plus HNO3

The only process simulator fully specialized in the nitric acid manufacturing process.

ProSim Plus HNO3 is a product of the French company Fives ProSim, designed based on over 30 years of experience in modeling and simulating nitric acid plants and nitrous acid vapor absorption systems (mainly referencing Professor Xavier Joulia's 1981 paper "Contribution au développement d’un programme général de simulation – Application à l’analyse du fonctionnement d’un atelier de production d’acide nitrique"). In addition to the standard features of ProSim Plus as a process simulator, it incorporates rigorous models for chemical reactions and mass transfer rates in gas-liquid phases in absorption towers and condensers, as well as oxidation reactions in the gas phase within heat exchangers and piping. Notably, the oxidation reaction from NO to NO2 in the gas phase applies a rate model rather than an equilibrium model.

[RecurDyn Implementation Case] Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute

An example of being able to change conditions such as steps and slopes, which were previously done manually, now being possible with batch processing without much effort.

We would like to introduce a case where our product "RecurDyn" was implemented at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute. In the development of mobile robots, our product was considered suitable for dynamic evaluation during the design phase, which led to its adoption. After implementation, simulations were conducted using our product to examine whether the robot could overcome obstacles and inclines, leading to the determination of optimal values. Ultimately, the robot was able to overcome obstacles, yielding results nearly identical to those of the actual machine. [Case Overview] ■ Reason for Adoption: Our product was considered suitable for dynamic evaluation during the design phase in the development of mobile robots, leading to its adoption. ■ Results: In the examination of whether the robot could overcome obstacles and inclines, results were obtained that were nearly identical to those of the actual machine. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[RecurDyn Case Study] Nagoya Institute of Technology

A case study utilized in research on the control of hydraulic actuators in a shaking table for verifying seismic performance.

We would like to introduce a case where our "RecurDyn" was implemented at Nagoya Institute of Technology. In the research on the control of a hydraulic shaker on a vibration table, the previously used product came to mind, and due to expectations for integration with the control simulator and elastic body functions, this product was adopted. After implementation, it has been utilized in experiments using a small prototype that can vibrate in both horizontal and vertical directions with an air actuator, to verify consistency. [Case Overview] ■ Reason for Implementation: Expectations for integration with the control simulator and elastic body functions. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Simulation tire model "FTire"

Reflecting more realistic tire behavior in model-based development!

This is a three-dimensional tire model that enables simulation evaluations of durability and ride comfort using a high-frequency short-wavelength nonlinear tire model by calculating the number of contacts between the road surface and the tire at 200 points. In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for driving simulators where the feeling, such as ride comfort, is important, and it also supports real-time applications. Case 1: Riding over a curb... Due to the 200-point multi-contact, it is possible to obtain results similar to actual behavior. Case 2: Vibration on uneven surfaces... It is possible to verify ride comfort considering the deformation of the tire rubber. Case 3: Low-speed steering behavior... It is possible to reproduce tire behavior at low speeds. Evaluation licenses are also available, so if you are interested, please contact us at the link below. https://www.neorium.co.jp/contact-us/
