Please refer to the downloadable materials for specific data on hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. 【Currently responding to development requests from Toyo Knife Co., Ltd.】 We have started supplying prototypes of disc-shaped blades using the CCM material, which was jointly developed by Tohoku University’s Institute for Materials Research and Toyo Knife, known for its excellent corrosion resistance, hardness, and toughness (resistance to chipping), since last year. We are working on the production process in preparation for mass production starting at the end of 2019.

We would like to introduce a case study on ultra-hard slitter knives/slitting processing at an EV battery manufacturer. In this company, variations in roundness accuracy occurred due to the effects of fitting, resulting in defects on the machined surface.
