Sumilight® PL-9450 (Sumitomo Bakelite)

Flame-retardant paper phenolic laminate (equivalent to PL-PEM-PF)

Phenolic resin (Bakelite) is the world's first artificially synthesized resin that does not use plant materials as raw materials. With the development of industrialization, it has been used in electrical and mechanical components. Its characteristics include excellent electrical insulation, heat resistance, and workability, and it offers great cost performance, making it a well-balanced insulating material overall. Sumilight® PL-9450 is a paper Bakelite laminate manufactured by Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd., equivalent to PL-PEM-PF. It is a laminate for electronic components that has obtained UL94V-0 and is used in fields where flame resistance is required for electronic component applications. Myojo Electric provides one-stop solutions from material selection and procurement of thermosetting resins, including glass epoxy, and engineering plastics to various processing such as cutting, molding, polishing, bending, and bonding. If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact us.

Sumilite® EL-3762 (Sumitomo Bakelite)

Glass epoxy laminate equivalent to EL-GEF for punching and machining.

Glass epoxy (Galaepo) laminated boards are made by impregnating woven glass fibers with epoxy resin, layering them, and then subjecting them to heat curing treatment. They excel in insulation, mechanical strength, flame resistance, and low dielectric constant, and are used in a wide range of fields and applications, starting with materials for electronic components, due to their thinness and resistance to warping. Sumilight® EL-3762 is a glass epoxy laminated board manufactured by Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd., equivalent to EL-GEF. There are two types: "laminated boards for electronic components (for punching processing, thin materials): glass epoxy type requiring higher heat resistance and strength than paper bakelite" and "laminated boards for machinery and electrical equipment (for machining, thick materials): FR-4 grade with flame resistance exceeding G10 grade." Myojo Electric provides one-stop solutions from material selection and procurement of thermosetting resins, including Galaepo, and thermoplastic resins to various processing such as cutting, molding, polishing, bending, and bonding. If you have any questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact us.
