Thermometrics' HTP series is a high-temperature NTC type high-temperature probe. A heat ceramic bead thermistor is encapsulated at the tip of a shock-resistant glass rod. These units are robust and unaffected by harsh environmental exposure, including high-density nuclear radiation. All HTP series high-temperature probes exhibit excellent stability at temperatures below 450°C (842°F) and can handle intermittent operation up to a maximum of 600°C (1112°F).

Glass-sealed type NTC thermistor (Type BR)

The glass-encapsulated NTC thermistor Type BR is suitable for a wide range of measurement, control, and compensation applications as it is not affected by harsh environmental exposure. These thermistors feature a fast thermal response time and provide superior sealing and strain relief compared to other glass-coated bead thermistors due to their robust glass encapsulation. The normal operating/storage temperature range is -80°C to +105°C for material type E0, +200°C for types A1 to A4, and +300°C for types A5 to D17. Intermittent operation up to +600ºC is permissible, but stability will decrease. Amphenol NTC Type BR glass-encapsulated bead thermistors are suitable for temperature measurement, control, or compensation, as well as self-heating applications.
