We manufacture everything from medical device parts to industrial machine parts! "Turning processing technology"

We also accept consultations without drawings! We thoroughly pursue reliable quality, processing of difficult-to-cut materials, and complex processing of small precision parts! We will not give up on the requests from our customers!

We would like to introduce the "turning processing technology" of Harada Iron Works Co., Ltd. We have extensive experience in "turning processing" for small parts (φ42 or less) regardless of material type in small lot production. We also handle high-difficulty and high-precision machining with complex simultaneous processing using B-axis/C-axis/Y-axis and finishing processes on ultra-precision NC lathes with a specification of 0.1μm. 【Features】 ■ Realization of low costs through reduced manufacturing lead times ■ Short delivery times enabled by flexible production ■ Small-diameter deep hole and knurling processing of 6Al4V titanium ■ Mirror surface turning processing that omits polishing, buffing, and lapping 【Production Examples (Partial Excerpt)】 ■ Extraction tools for bone screws ■ Anti-slip processing on the surface of holder grips ■ Production of inspection jigs ■ Trocar and titanium grips for medical catheters ■ Mass production of adapters for dialysis treatment, among others *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Difficult-to-machine material processing example: Inconel housing

The key point is how to apply rough processing! An example made from materials provided by the customer.

We would like to introduce a machining case of "Inconel housing" conducted at Aitec Co., Ltd. The main process is turning, but due to the complex shape, we received 3D data to create a program using CAM, allowing us to perform turning and milling in one chucking. Since the customer provided the materials and data, we conducted meetings while confirming the actual items during the estimation stage and also aligned on the inspection methods. 【Case Overview】 ■ Material: Inconel 718 ■ Machining Content: Mainly turning ■ Wall Thickness of Inner and Outer Diameter: Approximately 3mm ■ Tolerance: 0.02mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Medical and medical device polishing-free turning finishing process

Achieving Rz0.4µm with an original "grinding-free turning finish" method that differs from traditional mirror finishing techniques! This also contributes to cost benefits.

The ultra-precision mirror finishing technology of Harada Iron Works Co., Ltd. can achieve Rz0.4µm through turning processes. It is also adopted in medical and medical device applications. This is an original finishing method that differs from conventional mirror finishing techniques such as grinding, electropolishing, chemical polishing, lapping, honing, buffing, blasting, and barrel finishing. It eliminates the disadvantages of traditional methods that had difficulty in dimensional control and prevents the occurrence of scratches that were hard to avoid in grinding processes. In addition to its superiority in quality, there are also cost advantages. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

[Turning Processing Example] Polishing-free turning finish processing for "tapered surfaces and end faces"

Processing is possible even in areas where grinding and lap processing are difficult! Our company offers grinding-free turning finishing for "tapered surfaces" and "end faces," among others.

Harada Iron Works Co., Ltd.'s "Ultra-Precision Mirror Surface Processing Technology" utilizes an original method called 'Polish-Free Turning Finish', which differs from conventional mirror finishing techniques and achieves Rz0.4µm, contributing to cost advantages. This technology eliminates the disadvantages of traditional methods that struggled with dimensional control and prevents the occurrence of scratches that are difficult to avoid with grinding processes. The image shows a polish-free turning finish applied to the "tapered surface" and "end face" of an outer diameter of Φ45mm. The tapered surface is a shape that is challenging to polish or lap, but our company performs polish-free turning finishing using a lathe. Additionally, we can simultaneously finish the taper, outer diameter, and end face, and it is possible to perform polish-free turning finishing even with grooves on the end face. We have numerous achievements in polish-free turning finishing for outer diameter tapered surfaces and end faces. You can rely on us for everything from blank processing to completion. *Please feel free to contact us for more details.
