The Splash Shot features a dedicated cleaning solution that can be heated up to 50°C using a built-in heater, and it sprays this solution at high pressure without using solid media. Since it does not contain any media, it does not cause any wear or damage to the sliding surfaces, rotating parts, or oil passages inside the engine. The pressure of the cleaning solution sprayed inside the Splash Shot cabinet is powerful, reaching up to 140 bar (14 megapascals), and if you carelessly grip the nozzle with one hand, the reaction force from the pressure can be so strong that it becomes difficult to hold. This overwhelming pressure quickly removes dirt adhered to the surface of parts. It can be widely used against various types of dirt, such as oil, grease, and brake dust, similar to using a can spray-type parts cleaner. You might be concerned about its effectiveness against hard carbon deposits accumulated in the engine's combustion chamber, but if you soften the dirt in advance with spray chemicals like engine conditioners, it can be easily removed with the combined effect of warm water and pressure. Cleaning soft parts like plastics and painted parts is also a specialty of the Splash Shot, which does not use any media.
