Measurement of Defect Depth in Composite Materials: Data Comparison between Ultrasonic Method and Infrared Method
[Technical Information] Measurement of Defect Depth in Composite Materials: A Comparison of Data between Ultrasonic and Infrared Methods. ■□■Content of the Document■□■ In recent years, the application range of composite materials has expanded beyond artificial satellites to include aircraft. This document summarizes a comparison of non-destructive testing methods for CFRP, which is representative of composite materials. During the manufacturing phase of aircraft, phased array ultrasonic deep scanning is mainstream; however, this time, we conducted a scanning test using a 25MHz focused deep probe as a precision inspection and compared the results with those obtained from phase analysis using pulsed light excitation from infrared. ⇒ For more details, please download the catalog and read further.
