[Case Study] Air Transport of Two Layered Raw Materials with Volkmann
Contributing to the reduction of personnel, automation, and labor-saving in workplaces handling powder particles (reducing operator workload), high cleaning and disintegration properties, and improving cleanliness on-site!
Is it possible to air transport raw materials with different bulk densities that are layered in the hopper? For the establishment of a new factory, customers desire minimization from the silo to the mixer, and the raw materials are two types of powders with different bulk densities. (Raw materials) Quicklime / Calcium carbonate In this test, we used our R&D center to address the challenge of "whether it is possible to air transport raw materials with different bulk densities that are layered in the hopper," and conducted an air transport test using the VOLKMANN vacuum conveyor, simulating conditions close to actual equipment. During the test, quicklime was transported without any issues regarding capacity, but calcium carbonate, having a higher bulk density, caused blockages. ◆ For more details on this case, please download the materials.
