Magnetic Water Treatment Device "Muzatsu" <Case Study Presentation>

A proposal for cooling tower managers who are fighting with long-term chemical inputs.

To the engineers who have been fighting for a long time with the long-term, economic, and management operations of cooling towers, are you still forced to use chemical treatments? Regarding the issues of scale, slime, red rust, and algae, which are essential to the operation of cooling towers, I speculate that the current specific measures are primarily chemical treatments or maintenance through manpower. Therefore, we have a proposal from Toko. The countermeasures for the 3S issues of scale, slime, and red rust in water have already been completed. An effective countermeasure is the utilization of water. This is a strategy based on understanding water pressure, flow, and volume, and there is no risk of failure. Cooling tower engineers, please consider this low-risk, high-return strategy. There will be no charge if results are not achieved. You can use it with confidence. *You can view materials with case studies from the "PDF Download." Please feel free to contact us.

Hydroflow Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device | Scale Prevention

Physically treat water quality with electromagnetic fields to suppress scale, corrosion, and slime without relying on chemicals. Improve equipment efficiency and lifespan with patented electromagnetic technology.

Hydroflow is an electromagnetic water treatment device that forms an electromagnetic field in water through patented electromagnetic technology, physically treating water quality. It operates without the use of any chemicals, simultaneously exhibiting multiple effects such as scale prevention, corrosion prevention, slime suppression, and water quality improvement, contributing to the stable operation of air conditioning systems, cooling water systems, and heat exchangers. The action of the electromagnetic field alters the behavior of components in the water, suppressing the adhesion and growth of scale on pipes and heat exchange surfaces. This helps mitigate issues such as reduced heat exchange efficiency, flow obstructions, and increased cleaning frequency. It can be retrofitted to existing piping without the need for plumbing work. There are no consumables or regular maintenance required, and daily management only involves confirming operation through an indicator lamp. The power consumption is low, and the running costs are only about the electricity bill of one to two fluorescent lights, providing high cost performance for long-term operation. Furthermore, since there is no need for chemical management or wastewater treatment, it simultaneously reduces operational burdens and environmental risks, contributing to sustainable equipment operation. It is easy to implement in sites where renovation of existing equipment is difficult, making it an effective water treatment solution that minimizes renewal investment.

Countermeasures for Red Water in Business Hotels [Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 3]

Install this device on the return pipe of the circulating water to the storage tank! Conducted to check the feasibility of corrosion prevention while operating normally.

We would like to introduce a technical case of installing the electromagnetic water treatment device "Hydroflow" at a certain business hotel in Saitama Prefecture. The piping of the business hotel consists of heat-resistant PVC lined pipes, and the hot water storage tank is made of steel with anti-corrosion paint. However, since it has been 17 years since its construction, repainting the anti-corrosion paint would require the hotel to close temporarily. In this instance, we installed the device on the return pipe of the circulating water to the hot water storage tank and conducted a test to confirm whether corrosion protection could be achieved while the hotel remained in normal operation. As a result, we successfully addressed the issue of red water in the hot water supply within about one month. 【Case Overview】 ■ Test Period: December 6, 2011 – January 10, 2012 ■ Location: A certain business hotel in Saitama Prefecture ■ Target Device - British-made electromagnetic water treatment device Hydroflow - Model: P100 (for 65A and 80A) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Spring Water Scale Countermeasures [Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]

We will introduce a case of installation on a submerged pump that had stopped due to calcium scale.

We would like to introduce a technical case study of the electromagnetic water treatment device "Hydroflow." The water from the spring pit located 15 meters underground at the power plant is supplied through pipes A and B, but it is extremely hard water. The submersible pump for drainage stops due to calcium scaling in about three months, requiring the replacement of the pump each time, which incurs significant costs and time, causing considerable trouble. Therefore, we installed the Hydroflow model S100 on the water lifting pipe. The effective range of this device is approximately 5,000 meters before and after the installation location. Additionally, this device is a semiconductor product that requires no installation costs or maintenance, and it has been operating smoothly for two years since installation. Case Study on the Corrosion Prevention Effect of Chilled Water in Air Conditioning Systems [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]

Installed on the supply header outlet side! An example showing a dark brown color compared to the untreated side.

There are two comparison devices for the internal pipe investigation; one utilizes a polarizer, while the other does not. A comparative inspection was conducted under conditions without the use of a polarizer. One unit of the polarizer model "PI-50F (2”)" was installed on the discharge side of the supply header for cold and hot water, with partial circulation treatment performed using the polarizer. After treatment, clearly old scale and rust dissolved and flowed out, forming a magnetite anti-corrosion coating inside the pipe, which appeared smoother and exhibited a dark brown color compared to the untreated side. The untreated side showed signs of corrosion and scale adhesion. [Case Study] - Installation Date: December 1985 - Purpose: Anti-corrosion and anti-scaling for cold and hot water equipment - Installation Method: The polarizer model "PI-50F (50A)" was installed on the outlet side of the supply header - Treated Water Volume: More than 5% of the total circulating water volume was treated *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Cooling water (chiller water) molding machine mold case study [Magnetic water treatment device Vol. 2]

Cooling water volume increased by 16%! Red rust has been completely removed and changed to black rust.

In the cooling passages of plastic molds, tests were conducted with the aim of removing blockages caused by rust and scale using a polarizer, thereby restoring cooling effectiveness. Additionally, we confirmed whether red rust in the cooling passages could be removed and reduced to black rust (magnetite) to form a corrosion-resistant coating. As a result, when the rust that had leached into the water tank was collected and a magnet was applied, the rust was attracted to the magnet, indicating that it had transformed into magnetite. [Test Details] ■ Purpose - To remove blockages caused by rust and scale in the cooling passages of plastic molds using a polarizer, thereby restoring cooling effectiveness (increasing cooling water flow rate). - To confirm whether red rust in the cooling passages can be removed and reduced to black rust to form a corrosion-resistant coating. ■ Location: SK Corporation Headquarters (Gifu Prefecture) ■ Duration: January 21, 1992 – May 30, 1992 (24-hour continuous bench test operation) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

About the cause of red water (300 households) [Magnetic water treatment device Vol. 2]

We will introduce examples of conducting water main extraction in various housing complexes and investigating corrosion within the pipes!

Since the 1970s, as a measure against red water in buildings constructed after that period, the Ministry of Construction has guided the increased use of PVC-lined pipes instead of white gas pipes (zinc-coated steel pipes). Furthermore, from the 1980s to the present day in 2002, many buildings, apartments, and general residences have experienced occurrences of red water every morning. As a result, in various housing complexes, investigations were conducted by removing the water supply pipes to examine corrosion inside the pipes. The findings revealed that most of the corrosion inside the pipes was caused by the potential difference between dissimilar metals at the valves and pipe joints, as well as damage to the PVC lining seals. It was determined that the dissolved oxygen in the water reacts electrochemically with the metal through the water. [Causes] ■ Most of the corrosion inside the pipes is due to the potential difference between dissimilar metals at the valves and pipe joints, and damage to the PVC lining seals. ■ The dissolved oxygen in the water reacts electrochemically with the metal through the water. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Installed with a partial bypass method on return pipe 65A! Introduction of a case where red rust in the boiler turned into black rust and red water stopped.

There were complaints about red water coming from the hot water faucet in the guest rooms within three years of the hotel's completion, and despite various measures taken, the issue was not resolved at all. As a result, a Polar magnetic water treatment device "Model PI-25F" (3-point set) was installed in a partial bypass method on the return pipe 65A, treating approximately 20% of the circulating water volume. As a result, it was confirmed that the red rust in the boiler had turned into black rust and that the red water had stopped. [Case Study] ■ Issues - Red water occurred despite the piping being made of stainless steel and plastic pipes. - The cause of the red water was corrosion due to an abnormal oxidation reaction of dissolved oxygen (DO) in the water inside the steel hot water heater. ■ Measures - A Polar magnetic water treatment device "Model PI-25F" (3-point set) was installed in a partial bypass method on the return pipe 65A. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Corrosion and scale prevention for chilled water in air conditioning systems [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 7]

The water quality in the pipe is weakly alkaline! The pH has risen, iron content is low, the water is clear, and the corrosion resistance is significant.

This introduces the corrosion prevention, anti-scaling, and water quality purification effects of chilled and warm water systems. To confirm the effectiveness of the newly installed chilled and warm water pipes, an internal surface inspection was conducted. A very thin, dense, and uniform white (inorganic) corrosion-resistant coating was formed, and there was no occurrence of rust. The water quality inside the pipes was slightly alkaline, and the iron content was within the drinking water standards. The clips in the sample water also showed no signs of rust, resulting in excellent outcomes. [Case Study] - Installation Location: A certain hospital in Fukuoka Prefecture - Installation Date: February 16, 1999 - Polar Model: PI-50F x 2 units - Installation Location: Chilled and warm water equipment for air conditioning (2 units) - Installation Method: Partial (5%) back method *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Red water countermeasures (18 years after construction, 85 households) [Magnetic water treatment device Vol. 5]

A complete Polar model PI-50CF is installed with a dedicated pump for independent circulation in a 40m3 water storage tank!

The S.S. Heights in Shimizu, Shizuoka City has reached nearly 20 years since its construction, so we installed a polarizer for the purpose of countering red water (protecting the water supply pipes). One month after installation, there was a slight outflow of rust (rust leaching effect) from the pipes, with iron levels rising from 0.04 to 0.16. Three months later, it decreased to 0.13, and after six months, it returned to 0.04, demonstrating an exceptionally long-lasting rust prevention effect. 【Case Study】 ■ Installation Date: October 16, 2002 ■ Installation Location: S.S. Heights in Shimizu, Shizuoka City (85 households) ■ Model: Polarizer Magnetic Water Treatment Device PI-50CF (Connection Diameter 50A) ■ Installation Method: Installed in an independent circulation system with a dedicated circulation pump in the water storage tank ■ Installation Details: 85 households, 18 years since construction, water storage tank (effective 40m3) ■ Purpose: Corrosion prevention to suppress aging of the water supply pipes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Corrosion prevention effect of newly built air conditioning chilled and hot water【Magnetic water treatment device Vol.5】

The iron content of the treated hot and cold water has decreased from 0.15 to less than 0.05, a reduction of one third!

At the headers of the hot and cold water systems for the Fukui Prefectural Hospital's air conditioning, a polar magnetic water treatment device was installed along with a dedicated circulation pump, and the circulating water was treated using a partial draw-in method. As a result, significant improvements in water quality were achieved in the hot water system, with pH and silica levels showing notable enhancements, and the Langelier index rising from -1.9 (highly corrosive) to +0.9 (non-corrosive). The cold water system also showed significant improvements in water quality, with the Langelier index increasing from -1.9 (highly corrosive) to -0.2 (very slight corrosion). However, the iron content in both the treated hot and cold water decreased from 0.15 to below 0.05, a reduction of one-third, indicating that the risk of corrosion is negligible. [Case Study] ■ Installation Location: Headers of the hot and cold water systems for the Fukui Prefectural Hospital's air conditioning ■ Polar Model - For cold water system: Model PI-50CF × 1 set (Trial operation on November 1, 2003) - For hot water system: Model PI-50CF × 1 set (Trial operation on November 1, 2003) (Size selection was carried out by our company) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Polar Technology Case] Confirmation of anti-corrosion effect on air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes after 17 years and 5 months.

The remaining lifespan prediction for the cold and hot water pipes is over 20 years! Thanks to Polar's rust prevention effect, there are no rust lumps on the inner surface of the pipes.

This is a case study confirming the rust prevention effect on air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes 17 years and 5 months after polar treatment. Due to the rust prevention effect of the polar treatment, there are no rust nodules on the inner surface of the pipes, which are covered by an extremely thin, dense, and uniform rust prevention film that has absorbed minerals. This film prevents the reaction (corrosion) between oxygen in the water and iron, thereby providing corrosion protection. [Case Study] - Location: A major home improvement center - Installation Date: October 2002 (17 years and 5 months since installation during new construction) - Purpose: Rust prevention measures for newly installed air conditioning chilled and hot water equipment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
