We received an inquiry from chemical manufacturer O regarding their desire to easily recover and extract crystals using a top discharge centrifuge. We proposed and delivered our top discharge centrifuge model KMβ with a bottom-open type basket without a flange for dewatering. As a result of using our centrifuge, we received positive feedback regarding: - Reduced burden on the operating personnel - Improved cleanliness of the basket inside the machine In top discharge centrifuges, operators must manually remove solid materials. However, this is quite labor-intensive, and the difficulty increases if the solids are hard. Furthermore, with medium-sized machines around 42 inches, the solids to be removed can exceed 100 kg. On the other hand, fully automatic bottom-discharge types tend to leave residual crystals, making complete recovery difficult, and they are inferior to top-discharge types in terms of cleanability. This is where the cloth-inversion type centrifuge FLOWM comes into focus. The cloth-inversion type FLOWM eliminates the need for a scraping device, which is essential in fully automatic systems, by inverting the filter cloth to extract crystals, thus enabling complete recovery.
