The product is a porous titanium carbide that is synthesized through combustion via a high-temperature chemical reaction at approximately 3,000°C, using a powder mixture of titanium (Ti) and carbon (C). Even when processed into fine powders of several microns, it maintains its porous structure. Its porous nature makes it highly reactive with water.
