Consistent processing of rubber extrusion molds | Overlapping base
From material to completion, we provide integrated processing in-house. By combining cutting, polishing, wire cutting, and shape electric discharge machining, we manufacture complex rubber extrusion mold components.
At Hanshin Seiko, we offer comprehensive manufacturing of mold components that combines cutting, polishing, wire-cut electrical discharge machining, shape electrical discharge machining, and finishing. The case presented is an "overlapping base" used in rubber extruders such as those for tires. With a total length of 400mm and varying shapes at an angle of 26.6°, we carried out all processes in-house from material to completion, adhering to a dimensional tolerance of ±0.025mm. Considering distortion caused by processing, we designed the process with foresight from the cutting and polishing stages to the subsequent electrical discharge machining. We examined the upper and lower contours and the processing surfaces connecting them, utilizing wire-cut and shape electrical discharge machining as appropriate for the shapes. We welcome inquiries such as "I would like to request parts that require multiple processes together" or "I want to process different shapes on the upper and lower parts to specified tolerances." Please provide us with the drawings along with material, dimensions, required tolerances, quantities, and desired delivery dates.
