Wire cutting processing of special internal gears | Non-standard tooth profiles and prototypes

For special internal gears that are difficult to prepare dedicated tools for, we will consider individual and prototype non-standard tooth shapes based on drawings and tooth shape data.

At Hanshin Seiko Co., Ltd., we can consult on wire-cut electrical discharge machining for special internal gears and non-standard tooth profiles. For contours that are difficult to handle with standard cutting tools, as well as for single items, prototypes, and small lot products where preparing dedicated tools is burdensome, we will consider machining methods based on drawings and tooth profile data. In addition to basic conditions such as the number of teeth, module, and pressure angle, we will confirm the tooth thickness, tooth groove width, tooth bottom shape, and the positional relationship between the tooth profile center and the reference. Based on the CAD data of the finished contour and the drawings that specify dimensions and tolerances, we will inform you of the feasibility of machining. Please also consult us regarding internal gear machining of hardened materials and high-hardness materials. We will confirm the material, plate thickness, tooth width, required precision, and inspection conditions. When inquiring, please include the purpose of the prototype, assembly confirmation, engagement and operation evaluation, as well as information about the counterpart gear.
