0154 Bridge elimination at the top of the screw feeder.
Based on past experiences, we provide guidance on suitable installation locations and operating examples for each case!
At the wood biomass-related facility, we resolved the bridging issue occurring at the top of the discharge screw feeder of the wood powder silo by introducing aeration and vibration bridge breakers as proposed by our company. It seems that the customer frequently experienced bridging since the initial installation of the equipment, and only the amount necessary for discharge was fed in to minimize the occurrence of bridging. However, even so, bridging phenomena occurred with a certain frequency, and when it got clogged, it was addressed by poking it from above with a stick. The introduction of the blow disk improved the discharge troubles and freed the operators from the dangerous task of addressing the issue from the top of the silo. 【Overview Conditions】 ■ About the Silo - Approximately 5000mm (depth) × approximately 3000mm (width), with a bifurcated lower part each having a discharge screw. ■ Location of Bridging Occurrence - Between 500-1000mm above the screw. ■ Material - Wood powder, 5mm mesh screened product, moisture content 30-50% (varies by season). * For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.
