Application example: "Seawater desalination: Reverse osmosis membrane filtration (RO method)"
Proposal for seawater distribution valve
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a seawater desalination method that reverses the natural process of osmosis and consumes less energy compared to distillation. High pressure (5.5 to 8 MPa) is applied to seawater, allowing only water molecules to pass through a semipermeable membrane while blocking dissolved salts. The water that passes through can be used as drinking water.
