What is the difference between microwaves and high frequency?

What is the difference between microwaves and high frequencies?

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers about Takashoubo Nessuru Corporation "What is the difference between microwaves and high frequencies?" ■□■ What is the difference between microwaves and high frequencies? ■□■ Both microwaves and high frequencies refer to specific frequency bands within radio waves. Since both are high-frequency ranges, they may be collectively referred to as high frequencies. The frequency of microwaves ranges from 300 MHz to 300 GHz, while high frequencies range from 1 to 300 MHz. Microwaves are characterized by having slightly higher frequencies than high frequencies. Both are widely used in communication and heating applications. In general, microwaves are used for heating relatively small cross-sectional sizes and irregularly shaped objects. High frequencies are used for heating larger cross-sectional sizes and longer objects. ======≪Trial Campaign≫====== Right now! We are running the following campaign! Why do objects heat up with high frequency and microwaves?

Why are objects heated by high frequency and microwaves?

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers at High Frequency Nessle Corporation 'Why are objects heated by high frequency and microwaves?' ■□■ Why are objects heated by high frequency and microwaves? ■□■ The principle of heating is as follows: electric field energy → molecular vibration and rotation → friction energy → temperature rise of dielectric materials → heating. However, not everything can be heated by dielectric heating. Basically, metals cannot be heated. Some plastics, such as ceramics and Teflon, are also not very suitable for heating. On the contrary, water, food, and wood are easily heated, and high frequency and microwave heating are commonly used. ======≪Trial Campaign≫====== Now! We are running the following campaign! Reduce labor, running costs, and maintenance expenses with an induction heating device!

We solve various challenges in the heat treatment process with high-frequency induction heating.

Induction heating can efficiently heat only the desired parts, significantly reducing energy waste and increasing thermal efficiency. Additionally, there is no need for preheating, allowing for immediate heating when necessary, which also reduces energy consumption during standby. Since the components themselves generate heat through non-contact heating, equipment wear is minimized, and maintenance costs are reduced. In this way, induction heating has a significant effect on lowering the overall running costs of the production process through improvements in energy efficiency, production efficiency, and maintainability. Automating the heating process can greatly reduce the labor required for traditionally manual processes, contributing to cost reduction from a labor-saving perspective as well. Thus, the introduction of induction heating promotes the automation and labor-saving of production processes, achieving both labor cost reduction and productivity improvement. We also offer free heating tests for the first time. Please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please view the PDF data from "Download Catalog." *If you wish to request a test, please indicate "Test Request" in the "Contact Us via Web."

Q&A: What is the difference between dielectric heating and induction heating?

What is the difference between dielectric heating and induction heating?

Regarding high-frequency dielectric heating, the applicator is equipped with two electrodes that create a high-frequency electric field, and the workpiece placed between these two electrodes is heated by the electric field. The electrodes are connected to the oscillator using wires, but since radio waves leak from the wires to the outside, measures are needed not only for safety but also to comply with the strict regulations of the Radio Law. Microwave heating also heats the workpiece using an electric field, but does not require electrodes. Since a waveguide is used to connect the oscillator to the applicator, radio waves do not leak to the outside. High-frequency induction heating utilizes the heat generated by metals affected by high-frequency magnetic fields through Joule loss and hysteresis loss. A representative example of high-frequency induction heating is the induction heating (IH) cooker. When a thick metal pot is placed on the IH cooker and the switch is turned on, high-frequency current flows through the coil, generating a high-frequency magnetic field. The pot heats up due to Joule loss and hysteresis loss caused by the generated high-frequency magnetic field, thereby cooking the food inside the pot. In other words, the IH cooker directly heats only the pot with the high-frequency magnetic field. In contrast, a microwave oven directly heats food with microwaves. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
