Non-destructive testing equipment <Joint and defect detector (Eddy current testing method)>

It is a non-contact detector using an eddy current sensor.

Eddy current testing involves applying alternating current to a coil, which generates a magnetic flux. When this magnetic flux is applied to a metal, eddy currents (induced currents) are generated on the surface of the metal due to electromagnetic induction. Changes in the flow can be detected as changes in the impedance of the coil and signal variations. The technology required for eddy current testing is a combination of sensor technology that can pick up signal changes, such as defects, with high sensitivity, and advanced circuit technology that extracts necessary information from weak pickup signals.

Problem-Solving Materials: Utilizing 3D Data Part 5 | Non-Destructive Testing Using 3D Data

What is a new evaluation method for design and manufacturing using topology optimization? A resource for discovering and solving issues in the production field.

This document is a series that proposes solutions to various challenges faced in production sites, from identifying issues to finding solutions. In the "Utilization of 3D Data" edition, we will introduce various solutions to manufacturing challenges through the use of 3D data. In Vol. 5, we will focus on "Topology Optimization and Product Evaluation Methods," presenting non-destructive testing utilizing 3D data. [Document Overview] With the advent of metal 3D printers and the development of manufacturing technologies, there have been various changes in design methods. Among these, design utilizing topology optimization has recently gained attention. It significantly contributes to reducing manufacturing costs and improving performance through substantial weight reduction and integration of parts. However, the shapes derived by software are often complex, posing challenges for evaluation using traditional methods. This document will introduce two essential points necessary for evaluating products that use new design and manufacturing methods, as well as the optimal inspection methods. *You can download the document using the button below.*

Not just purchasing! Introduction of case studies on "The Benefits of Utilizing MIX and Rentals"

If you're looking to acquire a measuring device, relying solely on "purchase" is a waste! By utilizing rental and MIX examples, you can effectively cut down on time, costs, and management burdens.

If you have concerns regarding measuring instruments and measurements, this is a must-read. "I don't have the budget to purchase a measuring instrument since I rarely use it..." "I need to measure something immediately, but if I buy the equipment, the delivery won't make it in time." "The operational costs are high when I own it, and maintenance takes a lot of time, which is a hassle." "I'm looking for a substitute only for a certain period, such as during the calibration of our own equipment." "I want to try out the product before purchasing to see if its functions meet my needs." We introduce convenient alternatives to purchasing, such as "renting," and the "MIX utilization method" of combining purchase and rental, including case studies in the materials. [Content of the materials] ■ A review of the six benefits of MIX utilization and rental ■ [Case Studies] Customer feedback and recommended rental equipment ■ The process leading up to rental ■ Four pillars of service that only Rex, with 43 years of experience in measuring instrument rental, can provide! ■ Recommended Rex tools for those who want to ask, search, and know! *This document can be viewed immediately by clicking the download button below. Non-destructive testing machine "Anchor Checker"

Inspection is possible just by placing the probe on the designated part of the anchor! A non-destructive testing device that can inspect and determine the bonding condition of post-installed anchors.

The (HAWK) Anchor Checker is a non-destructive testing device that can inspect and determine the bonding condition of post-installed anchors. It allows for inspection simply by placing the probe on the designated part of the anchor, making it possible to conduct tests in a shorter time compared to tensile tests. Additionally, while sound testing can yield varying results due to surrounding noise or the skill of the tester, the Anchor Checker sets thresholds based on the measurement values of anchors in good installation condition, ensuring consistent evaluations. (Note: This does not guarantee the pull-out resistance of post-installed anchors.) 【Features】 ■ Lightweight and Compact: It is lightweight and compact, allowing for space-saving inspections. ■ Non-destructive: Since inspection is performed simply by placing the probe, it does not affect the anchor or the structure. ■ Easy Inspection: It does not require complex operations, enabling quick inspection and determination. ■ Fair Evaluation: It automatically performs quantitative assessments based on pre-set thresholds. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

SONOPEC

CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) inspection solution that can measure the thinning of the target object without removing insulation materials, fireproof coverings, or coatings: SONOPEC.

SONOPEC is a non-intrusive electromagnetic technology based on the latest PEC (Pulsed Eddy Current Testing) that enables the detection, measurement, and monitoring of corrosion in low carbon steel piping and pressure vessels without removing insulation materials, paint, coatings, concrete fireproofing, or marine products such as oysters. This is a CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) inspection solution. • Inspections can be conducted while the equipment is in operation, resulting in no production loss. • There is no need to remove insulation materials covering the objects, leading to reduced inspection costs. • Quick inspections are possible as surface treatment is not required. • PEC provides extremely high reproducibility in measurements taken at the same location. • Inspection costs underwater are significantly reduced. • When the material of the object is uniform, the accuracy of corrosion detection under insulation is ±5%. • The accuracy of corrosion monitoring is ±0.2%. • The temperature range for inspections is from -100°C to 550°C. • The thickness of the inspection target objects ranges from 2 mm to 70 mm. • The maximum thickness of insulation materials is 200 mm. • For piping, the minimum outer diameter is from 50 mm.

No preprocessing required! Easy! Pulse eddy current non-destructive testing device [Application examples available].

Can be used without qualifications. It can perform inspections non-contact, allowing for rapid detection of defects with minimal surface treatment! Portable and easy-to-use non-destructive testing device.

Finally, an inspection device capable of detecting defects in back-side and laminated structures has been completed. "Inspecting internal and back-side cracks takes a lot of time and cost." "It's difficult to inspect cracks and defects without outsourcing to a contractor." Do you have similar concerns? Our product can detect defects on the surface, inside, and back-side of non-magnetic stainless steel, as well as defects in the lower plates of laminated structures. According to performance tests, defects in non-magnetic stainless steel with a thickness of 10mm and back cracks deeper than 3mm can be easily detected. Moreover, in cases with uneven surfaces like welds, it is possible to scan by lifting the sensor by about 1 to 3mm, so there is little need for surface treatment (bead polishing, painting, dirt removal). Additionally, for large cracks, detection is possible even when lifted more than 10mm from the surface, and inspections for material changes such as hardening are also feasible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Equipment Introduction] Inspection Machine

We have equipment to measure dimensions, angles, surface shapes, 3D shapes, and more of the measurement targets!

We would like to introduce the "inspection equipment" that we have. We possess an "X-ray inspection machine" that can check the condition of air pockets in die-cast parts, as well as a "three-dimensional measuring machine" that measures dimensions, angles, surface shapes, and 3D shapes by pressing a probe, known as a contact sensor, against the object. Additionally, we have a "melt issuing analysis device" that can analyze materials rescued from the furnace, not just the mill sheets from material manufacturers, to confirm whether they meet specifications. 【Equipment Owned】 ■ X-ray inspection machine ■ Three-dimensional measuring machine ■ Melt issuing analysis device *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
