[Data] Particle Counter and Large Particles

The ISO cleanliness level is clear! But why is the work surface contaminated? We will answer that.

This document introduces particle counters and large particles. It addresses the question, "Are there no large particles in clean rooms?" as well as issues such as "Is it just that they are not being measured?" and includes references on gravitational settling, the particle size of contaminants that should be managed (e.g., thin films, laminating, painting processes), among others. It responds to the misconception that particle counters can handle everything from small to large particle sizes. [Contents] ■ Are there no large particles in clean rooms? ■ Is it just that they are not being measured? ■ Reference 1: What about the gravitational settling of particles? ■ Reference 2: What particle sizes of contaminants should be managed? (e.g., thin films, laminating, painting processes) ■ Reference 3: Real-time mode = seeing what is happening right in front of you *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Considerations on Particle Sedimentation

We will introduce a discussion on the settling distance and time based on particle size!

This document presents considerations on particle settling. It includes information on the settling distance of particles per unit time and calculated values for settling distances. We have provided clear explanations using graphs and tables, so please take a look. However, this is only an example concerning solid particles. Droplets are excluded due to their significant interaction with the environment. [Contents] ■ Calculated values for particle settling distance per unit time - Settling time in the vertical direction can be calculated by particle size (in other words, the time they remain suspended) - Gravitational settling velocity of fine particles *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Article: A mere particle counter, yet a particle counter.

Particle counters are not exclusively for clean rooms. They are expanding their applications from traditional production sites to everyday environments.

In recent years, OPC (Optical Particle Counter) is expanding its use beyond clean rooms (CR), that is, into new settings such as work environments, indoor environments, and atmospheric environments. This document considers new applications of OPC that are not limited to tools for monitoring CR cleanliness. We have reprinted an article published in the Clean Technology magazine. Please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ Introduction ■ Overview of OPC as a cleanliness monitoring device for CR ■ New settings, environments, and applications for OPC ■ Suggestions for new applications ■ Conclusion *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Particle Counter "Model 5301C・5501C"

Achieving inline measurement! A pressure air-compatible particle counter using a self-compensating free jet sensor.

Until now, particle counters were thought to only be capable of suction sampling under atmospheric pressure due to the structure of the sensors, and were unable to measure particles in compressed air or gas. On the other hand, with the institutionalization of HACCP and the transition to ISO 22000 (June 2021), it has become necessary to manage dust, bacteria, water, and oil for gases that come into direct or indirect contact with food. Additionally, there is a significant demand for cleanliness monitoring in pneumatic systems such as ProAir. The Particle Plus 'Model 5301C・5501C' has achieved direct measurement of particles in pressurized air through its unique self-compensating free jet sensor. 【Features】 ■ Self-compensating free jet sensor adopted ■ Six selectable particle size settings ■ Data collection in 1-second intervals (45,000 logs) ■ Real-time meter ■ Multi-point monitoring software AMOSYS *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Ultra-high concentration compatible remote particle counter 5000 series

Supports environments from clean rooms to ultra-high concentration particle environments! Up to three calibrated spare sensors can be prepared. Compact remote type.

The "5000-LF Series (Old Model)" is a particle counter designed for ultra-high concentration applications. *Model numbers have been changed: 5301-LF → 5300, 5501LF → 5500 (non-pump type); 5301P-LF → 5300P, 5501P-LF → 5500P (pump type). It can be installed on walls or columns, used on a tabletop, operated directly from the unit, or remotely monitored and controlled from a computer. The particle size classification is 6 channels, user-configurable. Regardless of what anyone says, it supports ultra-high concentrations (2,500 particles/cc). It is possible to prepare up to 3 calibrated spare sensors. Although the sensor structure is resistant to dirt, it can still get dirty, so having spare sensors that can be replaced on-site provides peace of mind. **Features:** - Flow rate: 1.2 L/min. - Ultra-high concentration support (from clean rooms to ultra-high particle environments) - Calibrated spare sensor system (up to 3 sensors per counter) factory option - Alarm external output (open collector) factory option - Maximum measurable concentration: approximately 70,800,000 particles/CF (2,500 particles/cc) *For more details, please refer to the documentation. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Particle Counter "5300/5500・5300/5500P"

From the clean room, it supports high particle concentrations for indoor environments, atmosphere, high-concentration exposure experiments in chambers, and working environments!

The "5300/5500・5300P/5500P" is a particle counter that can be installed on walls or columns, used on a tabletop, operated directly from the unit, or remotely controlled from a computer. The particle size classification consists of 6 channels (user-configurable). The measurement values are displayed as the total count of particles above the set particle size or as the count between particle sizes. In real-time meter mode, the particle counter directly graphs the transition of counts every second on the screen. In PM mode, by inputting arbitrary density and refractive index for the count below the expected set particle size, it converts to mass and displays it in μg/m3. 【Common Specifications (Excerpt)】 ■ Light Source: Semiconductor Laser ■ Location & Recipe Settings: 500 locations (20-character index input available)・150 recipes ■ Communication: USB, Ethernet, Modbus RS485, RS232C (optional) ■ Temperature and Humidity Sensor (optional): Option Model EE80014A (0-60℃±0.5℃, 15-90%±2%) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
