Engineering Management System for Fine Ceramics Product Manufacturing Company

Achieved a reduction in man-hours through Excel management of work records using handheld devices.

We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of the process management system "SmartF" at a fine ceramics product manufacturing company. The company faced the challenge of spending six hours daily to transcribe and aggregate work performance data for 25 employees into Excel. As a result of the implementation, by switching to a system where performance data is directly entered via handheld devices and automatically aggregated, the time spent on performance aggregation was halved, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 780 hours of labor (from 6 hours to 3 hours per day). [Case Overview (Partial)] ■Challenges - Three employees were spending one hour each day on progress aggregation tasks to check production progress. ■Effects - The progress aggregation tasks can now be output instantly on a PC, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 780 hours of labor.

[User Visit Vol.5] Attack-Type Production Management System "TPiCS"

The fabless production management system is on track, with all members of the planning department becoming familiar with their tasks, resulting in smooth month-end processing.

The production management system of the Kinki Electric Telecommunication Division, which operates as a fabless manufacturer (without its own factory), is progressing extremely well. All members of the planning department have a good understanding of the business flow and are reliably managing operations from production planning to material procurement, inventory management, and delivery management. The end-of-month processing, which is done in rotation, is handled quickly by everyone. "The introduction of TPiCS and entrusting the autonomy of the team members has been effective," says Koji Ikoma, the head of both the Technical Department and the Planning Department of the division. *For more details, please request materials or view the PDF data from the download section.*
