This is an example of a machine for structural analysis (motion analysis) using CAE software "RecurDyn."

In the design of machine systems, which are assemblies of components, it is necessary to evaluate not only the individual components but also the interactions between components that change during operation. This is a consultation case from a customer involved in research and development in the field of mechanical engineering. The software being used includes "RecurDyn" and "Matlab." The customer expressed a preference for high computational speed and optimization of the number of cores for SMP (symmetric multiprocessing). After investigating SMP parallel processing, it was determined that a maximum of 16 cores is optimal for "8-core and 16-core parallel processing (SMP)," and we proposed the "Core i9-12900K" with a configuration of 8 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores. Additionally, since the customer plans to conduct big data analysis using Matlab, we ensured the expandability of the storage. [Research and Development PC Configuration Example] Machine for Metal Complex Calculations

This is an example of a machine for calculating metal complexes, designed for use with the scientific computing software "Gaussian."

This is a machine designed for calculations of metal complexes using Gaussian. Based on the customer's consultation, it is generally assumed that 8 CPU cores will be used, and there may be cases where two calculations are performed simultaneously as needed, with a total of 20 threads being sufficient for the entire CPU. Our proposal is to configure a system with higher CPU performance within the budget. The CPU is equipped with the Ryzen 9 7950X, the top model of the Ryzen 7000 series, which has 16 cores (32 threads). There are lower models with 12 cores/24 threads, but the Ryzen 9 7950X has a higher maximum clock speed when the boost clock is activated, so we have selected it with an emphasis on CPU speed. [Research and Development PC Configuration Example] Machine for Robot Control Simulation

A machine for scientific simulations that emphasizes the number of cores.

This is a case where we received an inquiry from a customer involved in research on robot control regarding a machine for scientific simulations. We proposed a configuration that emphasizes the number of cores with a 1 CPU specification and a memory capacity of 512GB. The customer also asked about points to consider regarding the installation environment. Since the installation location is a room with 24-hour air conditioning, we requested that the machine be set up in a layout that allows air to be drawn in from the front of the unit, aside from the surrounding temperature. Although heat inside the chassis is expelled from the rear, if the hot air that has been expelled circulates back to the front of the unit, it can cause cooling issues. Therefore, we recommend considering a layout that does not draw in the expelled air. Additionally, we conduct a pre-shipment test in a room temperature environment of around 25°C, confirming operation at 100% CPU load for over 12 hours to ensure there are no issues with the operating temperature before providing the unit.
