We have created a karate timer and score board that can flexibly adapt to rule changes in karate. By using the Raspberry Pi 5 as the "brain," we achieved operation via a numeric keypad, dual screen display (for the operator and for judges/players), and cost reduction. With feedback from federation instructors, we have reached a practical level of completion.

The Minamata Convention on Mercury, adopted and signed in October 2013, will lead to increasingly strict regulations on the amount of mercury sealed in fluorescent lamps worldwide starting in 2020.
