Y Systems Co., Ltd. is a company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and sales of evaluation and measurement equipment for nitride-based wafers (substrates), which are the main materials for LEDs. Currently, we have 13 employees, but our brand is internationally recognized and we are gradually expanding our scale. Since our establishment as a venture company in Tokushima, where research and development related to optical semiconductors, including LEDs, is active, we have been in business for 20 years. We now sell equipment not only in Japan but also to manufacturers and research institutions in Taiwan, South Korea, China, and Europe, focusing on LEDs, laser diodes, and optical materials. Moving forward, we will continue to develop equipment related to optical semiconductors and promote the "Y Systems" brand globally from Japan.
Business Activities
The main product, YWafer Mapper, utilizes photoluminescence technology to measure the distribution of thickness and emission color of nitride materials by shining light on LED wafers under computer control, allowing for the selection of defective products. For ED manufacturers using this device, the ability to identify defects before the LED elements are produced improves manufacturing yield and offers benefits in cost reduction and streamlining. Additionally, by limiting the measurement targets to nitride materials, it has achieved a lower price compared to general-purpose devices, gaining support from LED manufacturers. The current main products include the GS4 (2-4 inches) and RD8 (2-8 inches) models. We will continue to work on the development of optical semiconductor-related equipment and globally promote the "Y-Systems" brand from Japan.
