The power supply for the recording device should be from batteries only, not from an outlet. Use it with a 6-pole 2-wire analog telephone line between the telephone and the modular outlet. This product is compatible with analog signals. Depending on the usage environment, it may also be possible to use it with analog ports such as TA for ISDN or ADSL. Even if you use it as shown in the connection examples, there may be rare cases where recording is not possible, so please be sure to conduct a recording test in advance. (A simple way to check if your phone picks up sidetone is to blow strongly into the microphone of your receiver. If you can hear the sound of your breath from the receiver's speaker, it means that it is a telephone that picks up sidetone.)

This is an adapter for recording call content onto a recording device, regardless of the type of phone, including home phones, business phones, and mobile phones. The earphone has a built-in microphone to record the voice of the other party heard from the receiver, so please make sure to place the receiver against the ear where the earphone microphone is fitted. The NT-K5 uses a button battery, so it can be used even if the external input terminal of the recording device does not support plug-in power. Please pay attention to the following points when using the NT-K5.

The switch has three settings: 'TEL1', '1+2', and 'TEL2', which slide horizontally. When the switch is set to TEL1, it allows the telephone connected to TEL1 to make calls, and when set to TEL2, it allows the telephone connected to the TEL2 jack to make calls. When the switch is set to 1+2, the telephones connected to TEL1 and TEL2 are in a parallel line state (both connected to the telephone line). Among the devices such as telephones, faxes, and modems connected to the NT-810, only the device selected by the customer using the manual switch will be connected to the telephone line for both outgoing and incoming calls. The other device will be disconnected from the telephone line during this time, making it unable to communicate.

Each of the three distribution jacks has a switch that is not affected by power noise. It is a switcher for connecting three devices to one telephone line. The switch has three selections: 'TEL1', 'TEL2', and 'TEL3', which slide horizontally. The NT-870 does not have a selection like 'TEL1+TEL2+TEL3' as found in the NT-810. When the switch is set to TEL1, it allows communication with the device connected to TEL1; when set to TEL2, it allows communication with the device connected to TEL2; and when set to TEL3, it allows communication with the device connected to TEL3.
