The solderable nickel plating developed independently by Silvec is an electroplated nickel for soldering. The solder wetting properties of solderable nickel achieve solder wetting comparable to tin plating. Solderable nickel, developed in response to customer requests, has been in mass production for over 10 years. It has a proven track record of being widely adopted in connectors and components used for soldering in low-voltage applications. No additives to improve solder wetting properties are used in solderable nickel plating. Only nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, boric acid, and a gloss agent (equivalent to commercially available and widely used products) are used, ensuring compliance with RoHS directives and REACH regulations.
