Punches are subjected to shock loads, and when these loads strike large carbides, they can break without dispersing the force. Additionally, the areas around large carbides are uneven and prone to cracking. By combining powder sintering technology with nitriding, it is possible to create small carbide particles, which become more uniform and stronger. The resulting carbonitrides are less likely to adhere, making them less prone to seizing. Nitrided powder high-speed steel has carbonitrides that exist in a uniform fine structure, resulting in less adhesion compared to powder high-speed steel that contains only carbides. The conventional measures to prevent seizing of guide pins for molds are typically on the bushing side. Oil-free guide pins have solid lubricants embedded in the pin body, further reducing seizing issues during mold sliding. This product is recommended for molds where lubricating oil cannot be used or where sliding troubles are occurring.
