― Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets for Climate Change Mitigation Approved Internationally ― Kobex Corporation is pleased to announce that our greenhouse gas emission reduction targets have been officially approved by the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) within the international framework for climate change measures known as "SBT." "Using 2023 as the base year, we aim to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions by 42% by 2030. We will also work on measuring and reducing Scope 3 emissions." This target is based on the international scientific rationale established by the Paris Agreement to limit the temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, and our efforts have been recognized as contributing to global climate change mitigation. Obtaining SBT certification is an important milestone that symbolizes our commitment to balancing environmental responsibility and competitiveness in the global market under our vision of "realizing a sustainable society as a high-value-added manufacturing industry." Moving forward, we will continue to promote decarbonization across our manufacturing processes and supply chain, alongside innovations in solvent recycling technology, thereby enhancing our environmental value as a company.
