It was established for the purpose of welding repair and buildup of marine diesel engine parts.

Cocabu Co., Ltd. was established in October 2011 for the purpose of welding and repairing marine diesel engine parts. The piston crowns of marine diesel engines are generally made of high carbon, Cr-Mo copper. Approval from the classification society to which the vessel belongs (is registered) is required for the welding and repair of piston crowns (compliance with regulations). Recently, Cocabu Co., Ltd. received approval from the Tokyo headquarters of the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK) regarding our welding and repair plan for piston crowns. We are the only factory in Japan that can perform welding and repair of piston crowns approved by the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK). Additionally, we have also received approval from the Nippon Kaiji Kyokai for our welding and repair plan using Inconel for high-temperature corrosion protection of the piston crown's combustion surface.
