Originally composed of three parts, this is a highly precise automotive component. We received a request for a VA proposal as there was a desire to reduce costs from conventional mold processing. Therefore, we proposed manufacturing using three-dimensional space forming (multi-forming machine). By integrating the original three parts, we suggested reducing the number of components, and to establish a mass production system, we introduced image sensors. This allowed us to establish an unmanned production system. Free membership registrationWe received a request for automotive parts to manufacture a spring that moves in the opposite direction of a standard torsion spring, with a desire for high precision and strict dimensional tolerances. When moving in the opposite direction, there are limitations at free angles compared to usual, so we focused on the spinner tool. By in-house manufacturing and improving the spinner tool, we were able to make fine adjustments, allowing us to produce torsion springs that have restrictions at free angles. With the upgrade of our in-house technology, we were able to meet the customer's requests and clear the strict dimensional tolerances. Free membership registrationWe received a request to manufacture a spring that is easier to assemble and less likely to come apart than conventional tension springs, while also being highly durable (with a lifespan of 15,000 cycles), as it is a component for automobiles, which requires very high quality. We proposed a spring with different hook shapes on both sides, which cannot be produced with standard tension spring machines. Our multi-forming machine is equipped with a second former, allowing for high-precision and complex processing. This improved work efficiency, enabling quick fine-tuning of similar-shaped parts using the original machine, which reduced the number of drawings and consequently decreased the prototyping labor. Free membership registrationYou requested a component for a pen that allows the ink flow and output to vary according to writing pressure and speed, specifically a pressure spring. Since the shape and design of the pen were already determined at the manufacturing stage, we focused on the pressure mechanism. We held detailed discussions with the developer regarding quenching temperatures, number of coils, and load, and proposed a design that minimizes changes in force from the beginning to the end of pen use. For the thin linear components that are difficult to heat treat, we prepared a dedicated quenching furnace and case, and made adjustments to the finishing process.
