(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Ichiro Shimada; hereinafter referred to as Full Score) using the top-of-the-line rack-mounted model "A16S3-PS" from the ExaSAN series of PCIe-connected disk storage manufactured by Accusys in Taiwan. In this verification, under the provision of Full Score's environment and comprehensive technical support, TID connected four A16S3-PS units in parallel to the editing machine and striped them to create a single volume exceeding 200TB, which was used as storage for the 8K video. As a result, a measured value of approximately 6,400MB/s was recorded, and playback of 8K 60P uncompressed video was also successful. This success demonstrates that high-definition video editing and playback systems, which have traditionally relied on relatively expensive all-flash storage for 4K and 8K, can also be realized with inexpensive storage equipped with SATA HDDs, significantly expanding the options available to video production companies.

TID Corporation announced today that it will start selling the Thunderbolt-only model "A08S2-TS" of the PCIe storage ExaSAN series from Taiwan's Accusys in Japan. The newly released A08S2-TS is a dedicated Thunderbolt model that provides storage performance exceeding 1000MB/s for Mac Pro and MacBook Pro systems that do not have PCIe slots. TID plans to accelerate the adoption of this Thunderbolt-only storage among sales partners in industries handling large volumes of data, such as image and video editing, printing, and academic research institutions, as well as end users. Additionally, TID has previously sold ExaSAN equipped with SATA HDDs that underwent proprietary aging, but in line with this announcement, it has decided to offer the main unit only for tower/box-type models. This will expand product selection for end users, allowing for flexible product choices based on the required storage capacity and reliability, from small post-production studios to large environments needing file sharing.

Additionally, by adopting a buyout licensing model, it significantly lowers running costs. The introduction to RAWESOME! was supported by both King Tech Co., Ltd. and Wise Corporation, who assisted in equipment selection and implementation. They have been using it in a real environment for over six months, including verification. As a result, the stable operation in environments for producing and editing content such as movies and television programs has been confirmed, leading to this announcement.
