■Introduction Yamamoto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a machinery manufacturer founded in 1918 in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture. We have gained the top market share in Japan for agricultural machinery, particularly grain dryers and straw cutters. "Because we are a company that has walked alongside agriculture, we want to contribute to improving the global environment that supports food production." This desire, combined with our cultivated technology, led to the creation of the polystyrene reduction machine "High Melter." Through the provision of our products, we aim to create a bright future for the industry together with those who are challenging themselves in the recycling industry (*). That is our mission. ■Thoughts on Development The concept of a "circular economy," which views discarded items as resources and aims to circulate resources without generating waste, is gaining attention. However, the recycling industry (*), which plays a significant role in this, does not receive much public interest, and many companies are struggling with labor shortages. Through manufacturing, we want to shine a spotlight on this industry and bring about change. This is the sentiment embedded in all the environmental equipment produced by Yamamoto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (*) In contrast to the "arterial industries" that produce goods, industries that collect, recycle, reuse, process, and dispose of waste are referred to as "venous industries," likening them to the circulation of blood in the human body.

We will exhibit our new product "Beverage Container Mixed Product Sorting Machine" at the 2024 NEW Environment Exhibition! | Yamamoto Manufacturing (Tokyo Big Sight, East Hall 3, A369)

Our company will be exhibiting at the "2024 New Environmental Exhibition" held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 22 (Wednesday) to May 24 (Friday) (Our booth: East Hall 3, Booth No. A369). For the first time in the industry! By adopting near-infrared sensors and metal sensors for sorting beverage containers, we can automatically sort PET bottles (good quality and those with residual liquid), cans, and bottles (others) with our 【Beverage Container Mixed Sorting Machine MBS-3000】. Additionally, we will showcase our unique "vertical cone type" 【Bag Breaking Machine RBB-240】, which solves the issues faced by existing bag-breaking machines, making it less likely to break glass bottles and enhancing safety in subsequent processes, as well as the highly acclaimed 【Plastic Material Identification Device Purashiru】. This time, we will display a "Vertical Conveyor (reference exhibit)" that allows for the input of beverage container collection bags, connected with the "Bag Breaking Machine" and "Beverage Container Mixed Sorting Machine" as a single line. Furthermore, we will conduct demonstrations of the "Beverage Container Mixed Sorting Machine," allowing you to see the actual sorting process. Congratulations on the introduction of 50 units! The plastic material identification device 'Plashiru' has been featured in the Circular Economy News!

  • PRODUCT

"Plashiru" is a handheld plastic material identification device using near-infrared spectroscopy. It consists of a sensor unit with a built-in reading sensor and a tablet that displays the identification results. Material identification tasks, which have often relied on the experienced judgment of veterans based on tactile feel, elasticity, smell, and burning characteristics, can now be performed by "anyone," "easily," and "with the same standards." Recently, "Plashiru" was featured in the Circular Economy News published on June 28, 2021. Thanks to this, we have achieved approximately 50 units installed within 8 months of its release.
