Osaka Asahi Shoji Co., Ltd. was established in April 1956 to play a part in the operations of Osaka Asahi Metal Factory, Inc. It has expanded its business primarily in non-ferrous metals and their compounds, especially focusing on rare metals, and along with the development of Japan's electronics industry, it has come to occupy a significant position in the field of electronic and semiconductor materials. Now, over 50 years since its founding, the company centers on rare metals and electronic/semiconductor materials, including high-purity metals, master alloys (such as copper-based), and U alloys (low melting point alloys) produced by its parent company, Osaka Asahi Metal Factory. It also develops non-ferrous metal materials and ceramics, along with providing analytical services for these materials, focusing on advanced materials.
