Now, our company has introduced a solar power generation system at our Kagoshima First and Second Plants! The solar power generation system, which converts light energy into electrical energy, has: - Zero emissions during power generation! - Almost no moving parts, so there are no concerns about noise pollution to the surroundings! At the Kagoshima plant where this system has been implemented, a reduction of 92.41 tons of CO2 emissions is expected. As a rough estimate, 1 ton of CO2 is about the volume of one 25-meter swimming pool, so simple calculations suggest that we can reduce CO2 equivalent to 92 swimming pools. That's an enormous scale! Additionally, we have also obtained ISO 14001, an international standard for environmental management, and are advancing our efforts in environmental protection!
