CO2 reduction and environmental issues

We will introduce products and examples that contribute to the SDGs and carbon neutrality.

Reduction of 180 tons of CO2 annually through cardboard framing! Presentation of packaging improvement case studies.

Achieve environmental goals by utilizing cardboard packaging materials with low CO2 emissions! Also effective in reducing packaging time.

Did you know that compared to commonly used packaging materials like wood and plastic, cardboard has a lower CO2 emission per kilogram? Compared to 100% plastic (PP): Wood: 32% Reinforced cardboard "Naviace": 12% CO2 emissions (according to our research) It is said that the proportion of CO2 emissions from businesses accounts for 70% of the total. This includes CO2 emitted during manufacturing as well as during transportation. By switching packaging materials, we can achieve reductions in CO2 emissions from packaging and improve fuel costs during transportation through lightweight packaging. Reinforced cardboard Naviace has 1.6 times the strength of regular cardboard. It is strong and durable enough to be treated as an alternative to wood and plastic, and depending on the specifications, it can package products weighing nearly one ton. We will publish a collection of case studies that summarize examples of successful reductions in CO2 emissions throughout the logistics process, including manufacturing and transportation, addressing environmental issues. Please use this as a reference for packaging improvements. [Examples (excerpt)] - All-cardboard suspended packaging for roll products - Cardboard conversion of wooden pallets - Improvement of paper joint locks for packaging large copiers

Proposal for the strengthened cardboard pallet "Navi Pallet" in response to EU export pallet regulations!

More and more of our customers are considering switching from plastic pallets to reinforced cardboard pallets.

The European Union (EU) has a strong global environmental awareness and is actively implementing measures in response to the SDGs. In 2021, it announced a policy to tax non-recyclable plastics, and Spain began its implementation in January 2023. Other EU member states that have not yet adopted this policy are expected to follow Spain's lead. The reinforced cardboard Navi pallet is made from recyclable cardboard material. It is a pallet specifically designed for environmental considerations. There are numerous instances of its adoption as an alternative to plastic pallets. By switching from plastic pallets, it is possible to reduce CO2 emissions during transportation. Additionally, it can be designed with strength suitable for handling overseas shipments, making it widely used for transporting products intended for international markets. Its lightweight nature, which reduces the burden on workers, is also one of its appealing features. ◎ Load capacity of 1 ton, replaceable with other materials ◎ Recyclable ◎ Lower CO2 emissions compared to plastic ◎ Many successful applications for overseas use ◎ Lightweight and easy for workers to handle The new factory that started operations in September 2023 in Itakura Town, Gunma Prefecture, is equipped with production facilities equivalent to those at the headquarters. We aim to double our production capacity and strive to improve the packaging logistics for many customers.

Cardboard packaging that contributes to carbon neutrality and SDGs | Examples of packaging improvements

The alternatives to logistics materials made of wood and resin offer numerous benefits such as the efficient use of recycled resources and reduction of CO2 emissions! Here are some examples of packaging improvements.

We would like to introduce the packaging improvement case proposed by our company, Naviece. By switching to cardboard packaging, we contributed to the achievement of the SDGs goals. In the case of "All Cardboard Packaging for Self-Propelled RC Power Sprayers," we contributed to the reduction of CO2 emissions through improved stacking efficiency. We also achieved simplification of the work process. Furthermore, in the case of "Cardboard Packaging for Aircraft Seats," we achieved a 90% filling rate in containers while meeting strict quality standards. 【Case Overview】 ■ All Cardboard Packaging for Self-Propelled RC Power Sprayers - Achieved "elimination of wood" by converting wooden pallets to cardboard - Improved stacking efficiency with a strength of 2 tons - Designed to set parts in dividers, reducing packaging materials ■ Cardboard Packaging for Aircraft Seats - Achieved a 90% filling rate in containers *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

All Navias paths lead to carbon neutrality.

Significant reduction in CO2 emissions: Unique material and reinforced cardboard "Naviace" × award-winning "packaging design capabilities"

The characteristic of our company, Naviece, is its high level of experience in cardboard packaging design. Based on numerous achievements, including awards in packaging contests, we are well aware of how various improvements can lead to carbon neutrality. For example, CO2 emissions during transportation, and the operating hours of packaging lines. Even items that are not directly related to packaging materials can be improved by changing the packaging materials, resulting in a reduction of CO2 emissions from packaging to shipping and disposal of materials. Additionally, by using our uniquely developed reinforced cardboard "Naviece," we can package heavy items weighing hundreds of kilograms to nearly 1 ton, such as pianos and film rolls, which are far removed from the typical image of cardboard. Moreover, cardboard is considered to have less than half the emissions per kilogram compared to wood, making it an environmentally friendly material. *You can immediately view numerous award-winning examples from the [PDF download]. Please take a look for your reference. *Expansion of Manufacturing Scale* In September 2023, Naviece Kanto Co., Ltd. will be established. It will have design capabilities and manufacturing capacity equivalent to our headquarters, with good access to the Ken-O Expressway. This will enable us to supply Naviece and Navipallet to customers not only in the Kanto region but also in the Tohoku area.

Use 'Naviace' for measures against SDGs related to carbon neutrality.

Paris Agreement and SDGs - Contributing to environmental issues that the world is focusing on. Would you consider improving packaging to reduce costs along with enhancing your environmentally friendly image?

Consumer environmental awareness has increased, and it has become common to see the word "environment" in product and corporate PR. In the financial industry, "ESG investment," which incorporates environmental concepts as a measure for analyzing and evaluating a company's future potential and sustainability, has emerged. Between 2016 and 2018, investment amounts increased by $21 trillion, showing a significant growth rate of 4.2 times. Being an environmentally conscious company has become one of the indicators of corporate value. The Japanese government has taken the initiative to aim for decarbonization in order to achieve the "1.5°C Special Report." It has set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (90% of which are CO2) by 80% by 2050. The contribution of Japanese companies, which have high production volumes, is essential for achieving this goal. Our company, which manufactures unique reinforced cardboard, can assist in CO2 reduction in the following ways: □ Achieving decarbonization by using cardboard with low CO2 emissions during manufacturing and disposal compared to steel and plastic. □ Improving transportation efficiency and loading efficiency with custom specifications, thereby reducing CO2 emissions during transportation. We have numerous achievements in proposing improvements that consider the environment.
