Makisen Service for Capacitorless LED Lighting System
At Makisen Service, we have developed a capacitor-less LED lighting system by making the most of the extensive know-how we have accumulated as a transformer power supply manufacturer. Patent registered (Patent No. 6513162) LED lighting equipment typically uses large-capacity capacitors; however, since capacitors are components with a limited lifespan, they can restrict the overall lifespan of LED lighting equipment. Therefore, we have developed a capacitor-less three-phase LED lighting system that incorporates transformer technology and three-phase AC control technology. This three-phase LED lighting system allows for the complete elimination of capacitors (such as electrolytic capacitors, ceramic capacitors, and film capacitors), achieving longer lifespans and improved high-temperature performance for LED lighting.

Business Activities
The three-phase LED lighting system uses the pulsating voltage obtained by full-wave rectifying three-phase alternating current power with a three-phase full-wave rectified DC power supply to illuminate LED lamps. Since three-phase alternating current has less voltage fluctuation compared to single-phase alternating current, there is no flickering when illuminating LED lamps with just the full-wave rectified direct current (pulsating current) (there are no parts below 5% of the peak value of light output). Installation Method: The direct current power (pulsating current) output from the three-phase full-wave rectified DC power supply can be easily supplied to the LED lamps using the existing mercury lamp circuit. ☆ Features of the Three-Phase LED Lighting System: ■ It does not use components with a limited lifespan, such as capacitors that degrade due to thermal factors, allowing for use in high-temperature environments. ■ The DC power obtained from full-wave rectifying three-phase alternating current does not generate harmonics. ■ Similar to direct current, even though it is pulsating current, the fluctuation range of the output voltage is small, preventing flickering. ■ There is no noise generation because it does not use electronic circuits or electronic components that can be sources of noise. ■ Three-phase alternating current has high transport and utilization efficiency, which minimizes voltage drop. ■ The entire system is composed of analog circuits that are resistant to surges and noise.
