ニッタクス Company Profile
Pioneer of the domestic timber industry
Nittaku imported plywood machinery from the United States for the first time in Japan in 1919 and started a plywood factory in Hokkaido, a pioneering region. With the corporate philosophy of "development," "improvement," and "harmony," we have been committed to plywood production with a customer-first approach from the ground up. In 1952, we began manufacturing the water-resistant and beautiful "Complyt" (laminated reinforced wood). Now, it has become a flagship product boasting a 70% share in the domestic market, with a rapid increase in orders from overseas. It is widely used in construction materials as well as everyday items like chopsticks and chairs. Both plywood and Complyt do not have a fixed shape in wood. We propose everything original, including color, shape, resistance, and strength, tailored to what our customers want to create. To respond to any order from our customers, we have honed our wood processing technology and know-how for about 100 years. We will continue to explore new possibilities in wood while never forgetting the pioneering spirit of our founding.
