Our company is capable of directly applying hard chrome plating to aluminum materials. Aluminum is a material that is very prone to oxidation, and it is covered by a strong oxide film formed by its reaction with oxygen in the air. To apply plating, it is necessary to remove this oxide film, which is done through treatments such as activation. However, because the oxide film can reform through rinsing or immersion in plating solutions, it becomes a material that is difficult to plate. One common method for generating plating is to replace the surface layer of aluminum with a zinc film, which allows for nickel plating to be applied afterward. Among these methods, our company can directly apply hard chrome plating to the base aluminum material. The photo shows hard chrome plating applied to an A5000 series product, where a thick plating (approximately 0.1mm) was directly applied to the base material and then polished to a surface roughness of about Ra0.1. We also have numerous plating achievements on various aluminum materials. If you are having trouble with plating on aluminum, please feel free to contact us.

Our company is capable of hard chrome plating on cylindrical parts such as hydraulic cylinders, pistons, rods, various rolls, and mass-produced shafts. To accommodate mass production processing, we have multiple semi-automatic plating lines, as well as automatic centerless buffing machines and cylindrical grinding machines for polishing. We have a proven track record of plating on mass-produced rods ranging from φ10×200L to φ300×5000L, and we have received numerous positive feedback from customers regarding our precise dimensional accuracy, surface roughness, and hardness management. Additionally, for products expected to be used in harsh oxidative environments at sea or under normal conditions, we also propose improvements in corrosion resistance through special plating. We also accommodate plating processing for single items and products outside the above dimensions, so please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns regarding plating on cylindrical parts.

Free membership registrationOur company is capable of hard chrome plating on hydraulic cylinder rods. We can handle processing for new products as well as a consistent process for refurbished items involving "stripping ⇒ correction ⇒ re-plating." (Please note that the correction process may sometimes require collaboration with partner companies depending on the condition.) If there are any scratches or other damages remaining on the base material after stripping, we can also perform corrections through machining or build-up welding, as well as dimensional adjustments using thick plating. We have multiple dedicated lines for rods that can accommodate short to long lengths, with processing capabilities of up to φ50×4500mm. We can also handle stripping and re-plating of chrome-plated products from other companies, so please feel free to contact us!

Free membership registrationOur company offers hard chrome plating for forging dies. As near-net shape manufacturing progresses to reduce production costs, there is a tendency for the load on the dies to increase compared to conventional methods. Basically, surface treatments are applied to improve wear resistance and release properties for die protection purposes. However, in hot forging, which involves high temperatures, high loads, and harsh processing conditions, wear is severe, necessitating surface treatments that are easy to maintain. Among these, hard chrome plating is noted as the easiest to maintain. In addition to providing functions such as wear resistance and low adhesion, it is possible to perform regular maintenance easily and within a short timeframe by stripping the worn plating with a specialized solution, correcting the die, and re-plating. Furthermore, our company, which has large plating tanks, can process a significant number of dies in a short delivery time by plating multiple dies simultaneously. If you are having trouble with plating for forging dies, please feel free to contact us.
