These beads are encoded with dye staining, and these regions are identified by the xMAP system, allowing for the detection of up to 100 different analytes from a single sample.

MagPlex Monitoring Microspheres are magnetic polystyrene beads that help monitor the performance of assays and systems. By using MagPlex Monitoring Microspheres, you can investigate factors that affect the target fluorescence values, such as system variability and user errors. There are two types of MagPlex Monitoring Microspheres: the MagPlex RP1 Monitor, which emits fluorescence detected by the RP1 channel of all xMAP systems, and the MagPlex RP2 Monitor, which emits fluorescence detected by the RP2 channel of the xMAP INTELLIFLEX DR-SE system.

Unique 24-base DNA sequence anti-TAG is covalently bonded to the surface of MagPlex-TAG microspheres. By adding a complementary TAG sequence to the primers or probes of the target nucleic acid sequence, custom bead arrays can be created. Luminex microbeads are widely used in various xMAP bioassay systems. MagPlex-TAG is prepared at a concentration of 2.5 x 10^6 beads/mL and is provided in a 1 mL volume. MicroPlex Microspheres (MicroPlex) are prepared at a concentration of 12.5 x 10^6 particles/mL and can be ordered in vial sizes of 1 mL, 4 mL, and 16 mL. For other volumes, please contact Luminex. These microbeads are the reagents necessary for building xMAP bioassays. Important: MicroPlex is not compatible with the MAGPIX system.

Because MagPlex is magnetic, it can be quickly and easily separated from solutions using a magnetic separator. This improves recovery rates during dispensing and washing processes and facilitates assay automation. Additionally, MagPlex offers 500 types of regions, allowing for the construction of assays that can detect up to 500 items in a single well. MagPlex is compatible with all four types of xMAP systems. The MAGPIX system is a simple, user-friendly, and compact Luminex device, and MagPlex can be used in combination with this system. These microbeads are the necessary reagents for constructing xMAP bioassays.
