Similar to avidin-coated ELISA plates, they serve as a substrate for immunoassays by reacting with biotinylated ligands such as peptides. These beads are encoded with dye staining, and these regions are identified by the xMAP system, allowing for the detection of up to 100 different analytes from a single sample.
