We are the only Japanese company that cultivates and processes the health food maca in our own factory, consistently from cultivation to processing, in its place of origin, the Andes highlands!

Kouken Co., Ltd. is a wholesale trading company that imports functional food ingredients (superfoods) mainly from South American countries, focusing on organic maca. In particular, we have established and registered a local subsidiary, KOKEN DEL PERU, in Peru, where we cultivate, harvest, and process maca into maca powder at our own factory in the city of Junín, the origin of maca in the Andes. We strive to produce and supply high-quality organic maca that is safe and reliable, including sterilization methods. Additionally, through our local subsidiary in Peru, we import functional ingredients such as cacao, golden berries, and purple corn, as well as direct shipments of grains like chia seeds, quinoa, amaranth, and teff from Bolivia and Argentina. After importing, we are not only involved in supplying raw materials but also in the wholesale distribution of processed foods made from these ingredients within Japan.
