Free membership registration"Light etching" is a process that involves chemically polishing the surface of glass by a few microns to several tens of microns in order to enhance its strength. When glass is machined, it often develops tiny, invisible scratches known as "microcracks" on its surface, which can lead to a decrease in strength and cause breakage. This technology allows for the removal of microcracks by slightly chemically polishing the glass, thereby improving its strength. [Features] - Increased glass strength - Can be combined with machining - Can enhance strength when performed after mechanical polishing - Makes the glass less prone to breakage when done before strengthening treatment - Compatible with both batch and sheet processing (mass production equipment available) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe "Pit Suppression Treatment" can suppress the spread of pits caused by scratches and microcracks. It has a proven track record as a preprocessing step for thinning in LCD panels. Microcracks often occur in machined areas such as cutting surfaces, and even with general strengthening treatments, these areas tend to crack more easily. However, by performing this treatment before the strengthening process, the glass material becomes less prone to cracking. 【Features】 - By simply adding one step to chemical polishing, and with a short processing time, lead times can be reduced compared to mechanical polishing. - The processing time is significantly faster than mechanical polishing, with no risk of microcrack occurrence. - The material becomes less prone to cracking, leading to improved yield. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationSince establishing a mass production method for batch chemical polishing of LCD panels in 2001, NSC has significantly contributed to the proliferation of LCD mobile devices, including mobile phones, as a top manufacturer. We have a rich track record of over 2,000 pieces of glass and LCD produced to date, with significant strengths in chemical polishing technology and its know-how. ■ Main Features - It enables the thinning and lightweighting of glass, which is difficult with machining. - High strength is maintained as micro-cracks (invisible fine scratches) do not occur. - Large-scale processing is possible, allowing for the handling of many pieces in a single chemical polishing operation. *Difference from sheet-type: There is almost no loss due to changes in glass type, size, and thickness, enabling efficient production (suitable for small-lot, diverse production). *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationNSC, as a pioneer in chemical thinning of LCD/glass, started with batch chemical polishing and developed a unique technology known as single-sheet chemical polishing. With the single-sheet chemical polishing method, we have successfully established mass production technology for ultra-thin large glass substrates. ■ Main Features - The single-sheet chemical polishing method allows processing of sizes up to 1500mm x 1850mm (G6 size) and thicknesses down to 0.2mm. - Since micro-cracks (very fine scratches that are not visible) do not occur during chemical polishing, high strength can be maintained. It is also possible to address micro-crack issues caused by mechanical processing. - Processing large panels results in higher cost performance per size compared to processing smaller glass substrates. *Differences from batch processing: - No fixtures are required, so there are no fixture marks left behind, and initial fixtures are unnecessary. - It allows ultra-thin processing of large panels exceeding the maximum size of 730mm x 920mm and minimum thickness of 0.25mm in batch processing. - This polishing method is suitable for mass production of the same type, enabling continuous and large-scale processing of large glass substrates. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe recessed processing (zaguri processing) refers to a technique that carves into the surface of glass to a desired depth. By dissolving the glass with chemicals, it achieves a smooth finish without scratches, allowing the processed area to be transparent and beautifully smooth. When used for touch panel operation guides, it enables operation that utilizes the sensitivity of fingertips. In recent years, the demand for glass has increased as a symbol of luxury, and NSC offers various glass processing technologies to meet the needs of such customers. ■ Main Features - Compared to mechanical processing, the edges are smooth, making it safe to touch directly. The processed area is clear, allowing for the creation of freely shaped designs with high aesthetic value. - Chemical polishing processing, which does not produce micro-cracks (invisible fine scratches), maintains high strength. - Multiple recessed processes with different shapes can be performed simultaneously, enabling efficient processing. - Cover glass and top glass processed from glass have a luxurious feel, excellent durability against scratches, and can be disinfected with alcohol, making them effective for infection prevention. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationNSC's AG (Anti-Glare) processing creates fine unevenness directly on the glass surface, providing glare resistance against sunlight and other light sources. We also offer contract processing for AR (Anti-Reflection) samples using sputter deposition. ■ Main Features - By adjusting the surface shape of the glass, HAZE can be controlled within a range of 1.5 to 95 percent. - Since the processing is done directly on the glass surface, it maintains higher durability compared to coatings or films (pencil hardness of 9H or higher). - It is possible to maintain the unique beauty and high quality of glass in the appearance of cover glass. - Compared to mechanical AG processing, it does not generate micro-cracks (fine scratches that are not visible) and can maintain high surface strength. - AG processing that suppresses glare (sparkling) is possible for cover glass used in high-definition displays. - When using a stylus on cover glass such as that for pen tablets, it can achieve a writing feel similar to that of a pencil. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
